Harmonies in Music is the Festival's celebration of the universal language of music, bringing together the rich traditions and contemporary sounds that have long travelled across the Mediterranean. This musical journey explores a cultural landscape where diverse traditions meet, engage in dialogue and continually evolve, reflecting the vitality and plurality of the region.
From ancestral rhythms to contemporary musical expression, concerts, ensembles and internationally acclaimed artists portray the Mediterranean as a place of encounter, memory and renewal. Folk traditions intertwine with jazz, electronic music, world music and innovative experimentation, creating a vibrant mosaic of sounds that resonates across cultures and generations.
All concerts are free of charge (advance booking required where indicated).
The stage of Teatro Apollo becomes a crossroads of stories through four unmissable performances celebrating travel, identity and the universal power of music.
The programme opens with BandAdriatica and NOSTOS – Concerto del Ventennale, marking twenty years of artistic exploration that seamlessly combines traditional musical heritage with contemporary creativity and the evocative sounds of the Mare Nostrum.
The journey continues with Canzoniere Grecanico Salentino and CGS 50 – IL MITO, an exhilarating celebration of the fiftieth anniversary of Puglia's most influential folk ensemble, where the heartbeat of the tambourine becomes the driving force behind a dialogue between artistic innovation and social commitment.
The Festival then presents FISARMONICHE ONE NIGHT – Suoni dal Mediterraneo, curated by Quarta Agency, a refined concert that brings together cultures and memories through the expressive and universal voice of the accordion.
The programme concludes with ROTTE DEL MEDITERRANEO, presented by the "Tito Schipa" Conservatoire of Music, Lecce—an immersive musical experience in which boundaries dissolve, giving way to an open space for listening, dialogue and artistic exploration, where academic excellence meets creative experimentation.
Four distinct evenings, each with its own atmosphere and musical language, yet united by a shared purpose: to celebrate music as the most authentic bridge between the routes, histories and peoples of the Mediterranean.
