The accordion—guardian of journeys and memories—has long been the voice of those who set out and the breath of those who dared to hope. For generations of emigrants, it travelled across seas and borders as a faithful companion, becoming, in many ways, the orchestra of third-class passengers.
FISARMONICHE ONE NIGHT – From Classical to Jazz | Sounds of the Mediterranean is conceived as a musical journey through the many expressive possibilities of the accordion. Blending timeless classics with contemporary influences, the performance offers an elegant exploration of the universal musical traditions of the Mediterranean and beyond.
Crossing geographical and cultural boundaries with remarkable ease, the accordion becomes a symbol of shared memories, emotions and identities, uniting audiences across generations through its unmistakable voice.
The programme unfolds as a rich musical itinerary, revealing the remarkable versatility of the accordion through a carefully balanced dialogue between the classical repertoire and contemporary experimentation.
The result is an elegant and immersive concert that accompanies audiences on a two-hour sonic journey inspired by the musical traditions encountered along the migration routes of the Mediterranean. Throughout this voyage, the accordion embraces, transforms and reinterprets diverse musical languages, weaving them into a vibrant tapestry of cultures and genres.
This event brings together the many musical traditions of the Mediterranean in a celebration of friendship, cultural exchange and shared humanity, where borders exist only on maps.
It is also an opportunity to celebrate the renowned hospitality of Southern Italy—a historic crossroads of encounters, influences and cultural exchange that has long welcomed peoples from across the Mediterranean and beyond.
The evening brings together a remarkable range of artistic voices and musical traditions.
The Mino De Santis Quartet combines the deeply personal songwriting of Mino De Santis with the accordion of Pantaleo Colazzo, Marco Calignano on bass and Enrico Chiffa on guitar.
The Partenope a Paris Quartet presents a cosmopolitan musical vision featuring Valentina Madonna (vocals), Giuseppe Patera (accordion), Marco Tuma (winds) and Maurizio Marino (piano), where the soul of Naples meets an international musical outlook.
Completing the programme is the Loderini, Pinca, Venturoso Trio, featuring Tony Loderini (accordion), Massimo Pinca (double bass) and Ovidio Venturoso (drums and percussion), whose refined musical language ventures confidently into the world of contemporary jazz.
This concert forms part of Armonie del Mediterraneo – Viaggi, Miti e Ritorni, conceived and presented by the Euro-Mediterranean Cultural Heritage Agency in collaboration with the Municipality of Lecce, with the support of the Italian Ministry of Tourism under the National Tourism Fund (FUNT) – 2025 Current Expenditure Programme (CUP F89I25002020001).
