Municipality of Lecce The Municipality of Lecce (Lecce – Italy) has developed in the latest years significant projecting capacities and important competencies in the field of technological and organizing innovation. In the specific I&T field, the City of Lecce is regional and national referent for many projects. Among the many projects, the most important are Apulie e-Government e Iter-Net, finalised in supplying on-line services to citizens and companies, carrying out the communitarian directives regarding the realisation of the “I&T Society”(e-Europe). Within actions and interventions dedicated to the valorisation of monuments and old urban areas, it is to draw the attention to: • The role taken by the City of Lecce in putting into effect the measures Urban I, considered as best practice; • The achievement of independent funds availing of the National Special Law in support of the activities in protection and valorisation of the “Barocco Leccese”; • The ownership of the measure 5.1 POR Puglia (Structural Funds) finalised to the urban recovery; • The ownership of the Sectorial integrated Program (PIS) availing on POR Puglia (Structural Funds) for the cultural and artistic patrimony protection and recovery.
