This evening, Saturday 24 May, at 8.30 p.m., Lecce's Apollo Theatre will host Fisarmoniche One Night – La fisarmonica dal classico al jazz | Suoni dal Mediterraneo, one of the flagship events of Armonie del Mediterraneo – Viaggi, Miti e Ritorni, the cultural programme promoted by the Euromediterranean Cultural Heritage Agency in partnership with the Municipality of Lecce.

Curated by Quarta Agency under the artistic direction of Rosanna Quarta, the concert celebrates the accordion as one of the Mediterranean's most evocative instruments. Crossing geographical, cultural and musical boundaries, the evening offers audiences a rich and engaging journey through classical music, jazz and the diverse traditions that have shaped the region's cultural identity.

More than simply showcasing the accordion's remarkable versatility, the performance highlights its unique ability to connect different musical worlds. Throughout history, the instrument has travelled alongside people and communities, becoming a symbol of encounter, exchange and shared memory across the Mediterranean.

The programme features three distinguished ensembles, each bringing its own artistic identity and musical language:

  • The Mino De Santis Quartet, featuring singer-songwriter Mino De Santis, together with Pantaleo Colazzo (accordion), Marco Calignano (bass) and Enrico Chiffa (guitar);
  • The Partenope à Paris Quartet, with Valentina Madonna (vocals), Giuseppe Patera (accordion), Marco Tuma (wind instruments) and Maurizio Marino (piano), presenting a refined dialogue between the Neapolitan tradition and French musical influences;
  • The Loderini–Pinca–Venturoso Trio, comprising Tony Loderini (accordion), Massimo Pinca (double bass) and Ovidio Venturoso (drums and percussion), whose contemporary jazz repertoire explores the expressive potential of the accordion through innovative arrangements and improvisation.

Fisarmoniche One Night reflects the spirit of Armonie del Mediterraneo, where music becomes a universal language capable of bringing cultures, traditions and generations into dialogue. Through its programme, the concert celebrates the Mediterranean not merely as a geographical space, but as a shared cultural heritage shaped by centuries of encounters, exchanges and artistic creativity.

The event forms part of Armonie del Mediterraneo – Viaggi, Miti e Ritorni, a project promoted by the Euromediterranean Cultural Heritage Agency in collaboration with the Municipality of Lecce, with the support of the Italian Ministry of Tourism through the National Tourism Fund (FUNT) – Current Expenditure Programme 2025 (CUP F89I25002020001).
