Khatereh Safajoo is a set designer and multimedia artist, specialising in installations and 3D art. She was born and raised in Tehran, where she began her art studies.
She received her first degree in Theatre from Tehran Art University in 2016. She continued her studies with a second degree in Scenography for Theatre and completed her Master's Degree in Scenography for Film and Television in July 2022, both at
the Albertina Academy of Fine Arts in Turin.
He focuses on abstraction and re-imagining environments and spaces as he experiments and tries to evoke the memories and emotions of his childhood from nostalgic days of the past with his art.
His artistic journey focuses on recreating childhood memories and capturing the impact of the Iranian political situation on her. Her works often reflect moments in which she confronts the contrast between her childhood innocence and the bitter taste of reality.
