The Mediterranean Exchange of Archaeological Tourism confirms itself as an unique international event: home of the only exhibition hall in the world dedicated to archaeological heritage and to ArchaeoVirtual, the first international event dedicated to multimedia, interactive and virtual technologies; place for the study and debate on cultural heritage and tourism issues; meeting place for professional business, touristic and cultural operators and for travelers; business opportunity inside the inspiring location of the Archaeological Museum with the Workshop between foreign buyers and cultural and archaeological tourism offer.
 
A successful format, as testified by the collaboration of international organizations such as UNESCO, UNWTO and ICCROM, but also by 10.000 visitors, 130 exhibitors with 25 foreign Countries, 50 conferences and meetings, 300 speakers, 120 offer operators, 100 journalists.

 The area next to the Temple of Ceres (Exhibition Hall, Laboratories of Experimental Archaeology, ArchaeoMeetings), the National Archaeological Museum (ArchaeoVirtual, Conferences, Workshop with Foreign Buyers), the Basilica Paleocristiana (Opening Conference, ArchaeoWorking, Meetings with the Protagonists) will be again the locations for the 18th edition of the Exchange.
 To underline the importance of cultural heritage as a factor of intercultural dialogue, social integration and economic development, the event promotes every year cooperation among peoples through exchange of experiences and the partecipation of an official guest country: after Egypt, Marocco, Tunisia, Syria, France, Algeria, Greece, Lybia, Peru, Portugal, Cambodia, Turkey, Armenia, Venezuela, Azerbaijan in 2015 will be India.
 The special sections of the Exchange are: Meeting with the Protagonists where the audience meets famous TV hosts; the Laboratories of Experimental Archaeology to reproduce the techniques used in the past to create daily use artifacts; ArchaeoMeetings with the presentation of press conferences and projects for territorial development; the “Paestum Archaeology” Award assigned to those who contribute in the valorisation of archaeological heritage; ArchaeoWorking, introduction of Degree Courses and Masters in Cultural Heritage and Archaeology, presentation of the professional profiles and the new skills; the “A Fiammenghi” Award for the best thesis on archaeological tourism; the programme of Guided Tours and educationals for journalists and visitors.
 
Institutions, Entities, Foreign Countries, Regions, Organisations, Professional and Cultural Associations, Tourism Companies, Service Companies, Publishing Houses, will be inside the Exhibition Hall and will have a main role in the four extraordinary days of the 18th edition in Paestum on October 29th-30th-31st and November 1st
